Super-Eencylinder-Treffen 2011

Zie je het eerste weekend van September kans naar Ossenzijl te komen, dan tref je op Camping De Kluft een Internationaal gezelschap aan, allemaal bezeten van het Eencylindervirus. De oorsprong ligt in 1993, als een groepje Yamaha SRX600 rijders besluit eens een weekend vanuit Schoorl de WestFriese Omringdijk al stampend te ronden onder leiding van Renxc3xa9 Post. Jaarlijks kreeg dit initiatief vervolg en de diversiteit aan motoren en nationaliteiten nam zienderogen toe, het aantal cylinders bleef onveranderd….hoewel sommige ex-eencylinderrijders elk jaar weer verschijnen op 2 of meer cylinders (ja, zelfs met een scooter).
Vrijdags (sommigen: donderdag) begint het Treffen en op zaterdagochtend stroomt de Camping leeg voor de Toerritten; 's avonds is een gemeenschappelijk buffet. Overigens is alles geheel vrijblijvend, niets verplicht en voor eigen verantwoordelijkheid.
Zondag is er gelegenheid naar een Historische Rally in de buurt te gaan kijken, en neemt eenieder weer zijn spullen op en vertrekt.

 
De SRX in mijn schuurtje, eindelijk plaats om lekker te knutselen. Beide SRXen hebben nu de "oldtimer" status. Nooit meer wegenbelasting betalen! Bespaart je jaarlijks ongeveer 100 euro! Persoonlijke plannen voor dit jaar zijn: Rondje IJsselmeer, weekendje Westerwald, Routes des Grand Alps en minstens 1 rit met de XBR/GB club

Wow, it was Great!

On Thursday already 11 people from 4 different countries had arrived.

 
The weather was nice, about 40 Riders stayed at the Campsite and some visited us just on Saturday.

A few `new` bikes turned up: Ronnie's nice Aprillia Moto 6.5 and Pascal & Das with Matchles & BSA

And at the end: Basser TT. (I'm also a Laverda adept)

 
After a dilicious dinner Huub Hendrix gave a lecture about his travel on a Kawa W650 from Holland to Japan and after that the highlight of the evening: Big, Red & Blue played fabulous!

 
And there were not only Thumper related activities: We made a tour by boat trough the National Park,

Lambert showed his fabulous driving skills with the Super Seven:
and Koos woke the Campsite with his Carbid Canon.

Monoconnection Treffen 2010
- vooraf hoeft niet gereserveerd te worden, aanmelden bij aankomst, de campingkosten voldoe je zelf op de camping
- geen verplichtingen, wel mogelijkheden om gezamelijk te eten
- vrijdagavond bar open
- zaterdag 11.00 uur toertochten (eigen verantwoordelijkheid)
- zaterdag bezoek Basser TT
- zaterdagavond live muziek: Big Red 'n Blue

MonoConnection Meeting 2010

From the 3th of September until the 5th of September it will be the 19th time that The Monoconnection organizes its yearly international meeting.

Every year we have the privilege of welcoming many enthusiastic riders from West Europe who share their one cylinder passion. Do you ride a SR, SRX, MT-03, XBR, GB, DUKE, SATURNO, MUZ or any other big machine, grab your tent for the weekend and come to the Weerribben on Friday or Saturdaymorning.

Our Meeting will be at the same place as last year: De Kluft Recreational Centre .  For three days long Ossenzijl, situated in the beautiful scenic area "de Weerribben", will be the Walhalla for the roaring one cylinder street machines.

The programme can be called special as well. Besides the usual tour rides on Saturday at 10.30 a.m, there is also the possibility to visit the Basser TT. These Classis Street Motor Races take place close by the camping site.

My SRX does’t run anymore. On the way home from the Classic Races at Barneveld, it stopped.

I don’t have the knowledge to repair the engine so I consulted an expert: Jxc3xbcrgen in Germany.

It was a shock to me! There was a lot of damage, reason: no oil.

There has been a small particle broken of the 5th gear that caused a malfunction of the oil pump. It will be to expensive (more than a thousand Euro) to repair so I’m looking for an "new" engine.

Jedes Jahr haben wir das Privileg – mit Genugtuung – die vielen begeisterten Fahrer aus West-Europa, deren Leidenschaft Einzylinder sind, zu begrxc3xbcssen. Seid ihr Fahrer einer SR, SRX, MT-03, XBR, GB, DUKE, SATURNO, MUZ oder einer anderen groxc3x9fen Marke, schnappt euch euer Zelt fxc3xbcr das Wochenende und kommt zu xe2x80x9e de Weerribbenxe2x80x9c am Samstag um 10.30 Uhr.

Wir haben einen neuen Standort fxc3xbcr unsere Treffen. Fxc3xbcr drei Tage lang wird Ossenzijl das sich in der schxc3xb6nen Landschaft "de Weerribben" befindet, das Walhalla fxc3xbcr die tosenden Straxc3x9fen – Einzylinder Maschinen sein.

At Friday most Thumpers arrive, put up their tents, meet old and new friends and drink a beer (or Icetea…) in the barn.

On Saturday about 10.30 hrs. the Ride-outs start, they will visit the Basse TT (historic races).

At first, placed the capacitor and after a lot of Kicking the SRX started. Magnificent sound, not only from the open BSM Vampire exhaust, but also the air intake by K & N.

Warmed up to > 80 degrees it apears that this SRX has a lot more power in the upper regions, above 5500 rpm it keeps klimbing into the red zone and doesn’t  stop…
